Life with The Smith's
Ali is 6 weeks old now and growing sooo fast! She weighed 10 lbs today! She is begining to hold up her head now and she recognized voices (turning her head when she hears a voice she recognizes). She does seem to have some acid reflux though so Michelle is going to take her to the doctor on Monday. It has been a relaxing Saturday, I put new tires on Michelle's car and this afternoon got to play a few holes of golf!! I need a lot of practice but it's nice to be able to get back out on the course! Tonight we are going out to dinner with some friends from Church, we were supposed to go out with them the week after Ali was born (this had been planned weeks before we knew that she was coming that early). Last night Michelle and I went out to dinner at "The Range Cafe" in Bernalillo! They have one here in Albuquerque but it's nice to drive somewhere new for a change! It was good food, but the atmosphere was really neat, an old building with intricate plaster work on the ceiling and a gift shop area with old fashioned toys. They also had a small wine selection and we just happened to be there on a night that they were doing wine tasting, they gave me a very full bodied red from a winery in Santa Fe that was`very good. With dinner I tried a light beer from a brewery in Santa Fe but it was a bit too sweet.

1 Month
Yesterday was Alli's 1 month Birthday!! She is growing so fast. And sleeping more at night too! She is beginning to smile some when we talk to her! Mom & Dad are doing well too! We are settling into a routine and so far only one all nighter with the baby. Mom & Ali are sleeping right now and Dad is watching the news.
And what a lot of news . . . I really don't know what this world is coming too. Just yesterday President Obama called the U.S. arrogant. . . . it sounds like our own president is fighting against us rather than for us, and the only media outlets that cover this side are Fox News and talk radio. I don't know what life will be like for my daughter when she grows up and has children of her own, or even what it will be like when she is in elementary school.
